5 Tips To Grow #19

Here are my “5 Tips To Grow” for you, a list of what I’ve learned, experienced or enjoyed most in previous weeks.

What I’m writing / blog post of the week:

If you are recently started your business as I am or you are planning to go into your own business, even if you have your own business but struggling to get it going better, there could be very valuable these tips given by The Virgin Founder Richard Branson.

What I’ve enjoyed watching:

Billionaire Sir Richard Branson talks about being a billionaire, Startup, Advice, Virgin Group, Space and Entrepreneurship.

Richard Branson – Billionaire Documentary

Book I’m reading:

How to Be Interesting: (In 10 Simple Steps)

You want to leave a mark, not a blemish. Be a hero, not a spectator. You want to be interesting. (Who doesn’t?) But sometimes it takes a nudge, a wake-up call, an intervention!―and a little help. This is where Jessica Hagy comes in. A writer and illustrator of great economy, charm, and insight, she’s created How to Be Interesting, a uniquely inspirational how-to that combines fresh and pithy lessons with deceptively simple diagrams and charts.

This little book appeared to be one of my favorite morning motivation, just by opening a random page I’m getting some valuable lesson to start my day right. Simple lessons, cool graphics.

Worth reading:

How Bosses Waste Their Employees’ Time — “Research on psychological safety led by Amy Edmondson at the Harvard Business School shows that the best employees for promoting organizational learning are often those who never leave well enough alone, pointing out mistakes and flawed practices. But those who management rates as top performers are often those who silently do what they’re told and what has always been done—and don’t annoy their superiors with complaints and questions about flawed practices.”

The Difference Between Open-Minded and Closed-Minded People — Uncover the key differences between people that bring an open and closed mind to the table and learn how those two mindsets affect our success.

10 Rules for Success From the Founder of Hilton Hotels – Conrad Hilton’s 10 rules of success from his biography Be My Guest. The book was published in 1957 and is still relevant today.

What I’m thinking about:

“A good leader doesn’t get stuck behind a desk.” – Richard Branson
